From free design consultations to hands-on material testing, the SIXiDES booth at the Smart Home Tech Show 2025 offered homeowners practical ways to plan smarter and shape spaces with confidence.

This year’s Smart Home Tech Show returned to Suntec City Convention Hall from 13 to 16 November, bringing together a mix of home technology, practical solutions and on-ground demonstrations. Among the many showcases, the SIXiDES booth stood out for focusing on what homeowners often need most: clarity, hands-on experience and expert advice that fits real homes.

The booth welcomed homeowners at different stages of their renovation journey. Some arrived with floor plans, others with half-formed ideas, and many simply wanting to understand what truly matters when planning a smarter home.

Free ID Consultations That Made Decision-Making Easier

A key highlight was the complimentary interior design consultations conducted in partnership with four established ID firms. These sessions were fully booked across multiple days, as homeowners used the opportunity to discuss layouts, floor plans and design considerations.

Why this mattered

Meeting a designer early helps homeowners avoid common issues such as poor space planning, unsuitable material choices or unclear budget allocation. For many visitors, the consultations provided a clearer sense of direction before committing to a renovation.

Outlines X KompacPlus: Making Electrical Planning Smarter

One of the most engaging displays was the showcase of the Outlines versatile power-track system, paired with the slim and modern KompacPlus kitchen profile. Visitors could see how the power-track adapted to appliances and workflow needs along the kitchen counter without bulky extension units or fixed sockets.

What homeowners found useful

• A cleaner countertop setup

• The flexibility to move or add outlets as routines change

• A sleek match between Outlines and the KompacPlus surface

This demonstration sparked numerous conversations about early electrical planning, a stage that often gets overlooked until the renovation is well under way.

Hands-On Zones for Flooring and Colour Testing

Wood Origins Swatch Wall

This full-height display allowed homeowners to compare flooring samples in different grains and tones. Many spent time examining how certain shades interacted with lighting and other materials, giving them a more realistic sense of how flooring might look at home.

Dulux Colour Bar

At the Dulux station, visitors experimented with paint colours against flooring, tiles and other finishes. The ability to test undertones and pair colour families helped homeowners better understand how to create cohesive palettes for living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens.

Live Podcast Sessions with Industry Experts

Across the four days, the SIXiDES team held live podcast-style conversations with experts from partner brands. These sessions covered topics such as selecting the right smart systems, understanding material performance and planning for long-term functionality.

Visitors appreciated the candid nature of these discussions, which focused on real homeowner concerns rather than abstract trends.

A Festive Touch with Hourly Lucky Draws

Hourly lucky draws brought a lively rhythm to the event, attracting a steady flow of visitors who stayed to explore the booth between announcements. The prizes added fun without overshadowing the more educational aspects of the showcase.

A Welcoming, Practical Stop for Every Homeowner

At a show filled with new gadgets and connected devices, the SIXiDES booth offered something refreshingly grounded. Homeowners walked away with clearer ideas, practical knowledge and a stronger sense of how thoughtful planning can elevate both design and daily living.

The event closed on a high note, marking another meaningful step in helping Singapore homeowners plan and build homes that truly support their lifestyles.
